Best and Simple Murg Mussalam Recipe

 


Murg Mussalam Recipe (English)

 Ingredients:

**For Marination:**

- 1 whole chicken, cleaned and washed

- 1 cup yogurt

- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste

- 1 teaspoon red chili powder

- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder

- Salt to taste


**For Gravy:**

- 2 tablespoons ghee or oil

- 2 onions, finely chopped

- 2 tomatoes, pureed

- 1 tablespoon cashew nuts, soaked in water (optional)

- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 4-5 green cardamom pods

- 2-3 cloves

- 1-inch cinnamon stick

- 2 bay leaves

- 1/2 cup fresh cream

- Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing


 Instructions:

1. Marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Make sure the chicken is coated well with the marinade. Leave it aside for at least 1 hour or more in the refrigerator.

2. Heat ghee or oil in a large pan. Add cumin seeds, green cardamom pods, cloves, cinnamon stick, and bay leaves. Sauté until aromatic.

3. Add chopped onions and cook until golden brown.

4. Add the tomato puree and soaked cashew nuts (if using). Cook until the oil separates from the masala.

5. Place the marinated chicken into the pan with the gravy. Cover and cook on medium heat for about 30-40 minutes or until the chicken is tender and cooked through, stirring occasionally.

6. Once the chicken is cooked, add fresh cream and mix well. Simmer for a few more minutes.

7. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

8. Serve hot Murg Mussalam with naan, roti, or steamed rice.

- 1 छोटी चम्मच गरम मसाला पाउडर

- नमक स्वाद के अनुसार


**ग्रेवी के लिए:**

- 2 बड़े चम्मच घी या तेल

- 2 प्याज़, बारीक कटा हुआ

- 2 टमाटर, प्यूरी किया हुआ

- 1 बड़ा चम्मच काजू, पानी में भिगोकर रखा हुआ (वैकल्पिक)

- 1 छोटी चम्मच जीरा

- 4-5 हरी इलायची के दाने

- 2-3 लौंग

- 1 इंच दालचीनी का टुकड़ा

- 2 तेज पत्ते

- 1/2 कप ताजा क्रीम

- हरा धनिया पत्तियां (सजाने के लिए)


 निर्देश:


1. मुर्ग़ को दही, अदरक-लहसुन का पेस्ट, लाल मिर्च पाउडर, हल्दी पाउडर, गरम मसाला पाउडर, और नमक के साथ मैरिनेट करें। ध्यान दें कि मुर्ग़ अच्छी तरह से मैरिनेट हो जाए। इसे कम से कम 1 घंटा या अधिक समय के लिए फ्रिज में रखें।

2. एक बड़े पैन में घी या तेल गरम करें। जीरा, हरी इलायची, लौंग, दालचीनी, और तेज पत्ते डालें। खुशबू आने तक भूनें।

3. कटा हुआ प्याज़ डालें और सुनहरा होने तक पकाएँ।

4. टमाटर प्यूरी और भिगोए हुए काजू (यदि उपयोग किया जाए) डालें। तेल मसालों से अलग होने तक पकाएँ।

5. ग्रेवी में मैरिनेट किया हुआ मुर्ग़ डालें। ढककर मध्यम आंच पर लगभग 30-40 मिनट तक या तब तक पकाएँ जब तक मुर्ग़ नरम और पक जाए, बार-बार चलाते रहें।

6. जब मुर्ग़ पक जाए, ताजा क्रीम डालें और अच्छी तरह मिलाएं। कुछ ही मिनट और पकाएँ।

7. हरे धनिया पत्तियों से सजाएं।

8. गरमा गरम मुर्ग़ मुसल्लम को नान, रोटी या उबले हुए चावल के साथ परोसें।
